Do I read that correctly?

Yes. The date on this post does not read 2005, but rather February 2007. This-- is an update.

It seems my my songwriting career is trying to start without me. I haven't done a thing to maintain it (perhaps you've noticed). I haven't kept in touch with people who used to book my shows, nor with other musicians I used to play with. I have been playing little local shows, but haven't been promoting them much. I had pretty much decided to put the whole thing on hold for a few years while I finish school. But apparently, people have other plans and are bringing me opportunities without my even asking for them. All I did was decide two weeks ago that I am finally embarking on the making of my second full-length album, and set a (tentative and secret) release date (a good distance in the future, don't get too excited), and all these things started lining up to help me out.

A friend of mine, a biblical scholar, told me yesterday, “In theological terms, we call that 'God.'”

Whatever it's called, I like it, and I figured I need to at least participate in my own destiny a little bit. Hence, this post, and all subsequent posts. If you have been one of the ones to encourage me, especially in recent weeks and months-- or ever for that matter-- thank you. It has meant more to me than I can express without getting all gushy. And if you have been one of the ones to quietly wait in silence while wondering “what is up with that girl?” I promise your patience will be rewarded.
